Xi Jinping is China’s president. He is without doubt the second most powerful president in the world. Xi is managing the world’s greatest economy and the world’s upcoming super power and hegemony. With the controversial occurrence this March 2018 that saw Xi Jinping bestowed upon the role of an “eternal” president, the world is raising an eyebrow on what the global implications of this act. He will definitely shape global politics in a big way. This further implies that Xi Jinping will use some of his “crooked” ways (e.g. the debt trap diplomacy), to squeeze a number of growing states to submission. Be that as it may, we have to acknowledge his leadership skills that have driven China to a global powerhouse. The man is certainly taking China to greater heights.
Angela Dorothea Merkel
Angela Merkel is German’s chancellor. She is without doubt the world’s most powerful female president, and the world’s third most powerful president. Despite the difficulties and complications in her re-election, Angela has proven without doubt to be one of the most sensible and remarkable presidents in the world. I personally admire her. This lady has taken leadership to a totally different level, and also proved worthy the fact that “what men can do” women “may do better”.
Donald John Trump
He is the most underrated current US president. Despite his poor leadership skills and illiteracy in foreign policy, Trump has to be in the list courtesy of the United States. However, I strongly believe Trump may be the cause of the downfall of the US as a super power. He focuses so much on domestic affairs rather than preserving the global hegemony of US.
Theresa Mary May
She is Britain’s Prime Minister. Theresa, by virtue of being Britain’s prime minister, is one of the most powerful leaders in the world. Despite the difficulties she has faced with Brexit talks and the “Diplomatic Crisis”, she has proven to be one tough lady. She is leading the World’s most renowned state, a state that has a strong colonial legacy and an impressive history. She is, thus, one of the world’s most powerful presidents.
